Product description

The ultimate toy for cats from Trixie: a red laser dot, ideal for chasing and pouncing. Batteries included. Size approx. 7cm.

This nifty hi-tech Trixie toy should keep your cat happy for hours, chasing the dancing red laser dot wherever it twists and turns. The ultimate playful experience, and indispensable for all cat owners!

Colour of item may differ from displayed illustration.

Note for correct use of the Trixie Laser Pointer:
Playing for long periods of time with an intangible toy does not make for long-lasting fun. To avoid any frustration, the FroliCat Bolt Laser Cat Toy should not be left running for such long periods of time. Treats or an extra, physical toy (e.g. a dangler pole toy, ball or mouse toy) should be provided now and then. This will increase your kitty's chance of success and ensure a more enjoyable experience chasing after the little red dot.

Broke after a few minutes - but cat loves it
Cat went crazy for it while it worked! As others mentioned, there is a contact issue between the external switch and the button inside, however you can unscrew the top, secure the internal button and then it might work again... I'd give 0 starts for the item itself, but 5 starts for how much the cat enjoys it when it works:)

Absolutely bonkers!
My cat is obsessed with this thing!! I'll go through the batteries in no time, it's definitely her new favourite toy. It's cute and the key chain is handy, I'll want to keep this near me so I can keep kitty entertained. If you feel your cat is getting bored I'd highly recommend it.

Had for less than a day and its not working as it should
The button to get the laser working has developed a fault and I am having to open the battery compartment to get the button to a press able state again. When it does work the kitten loves it.

The only toy he’ll play with
We spent £50 on toys for our rescue cat. He was afraid of all of them, to the point we thought he didn’t enjoy playing. But he plays with this for hours every night. The laser point is small, so less intimidating. Such great value. The best £3 I ever spent.

Even my 11 year old will chase the dot!
One of the best laser dot cat toys available, in my opinion and so much cuter than the mini torch types. The batteries last for ages but are easy to change when necessary. My cats go mad chasing the dot, even though they're all well into adulthood now, (8, 8 and 11 years old).

cheap and does its job, cats love it
The packaging contained the laser pointer in one piece and 3 batteries to go in it. You have to put the batteries in yourself but it's really easy. Most importantly - the cats love it!!! I can't speak for the quality as we just got it but it feels sturdy and even if it breaks soon ish then it's not too big of a deal since it doesn't cost much...

Button broke in a week.
Because you have to hold the button down the entire time to turn the light on, this broke within a week. The button got stuck in the down position, though the light did not turn on and now I cannot get the button unstuck. Pretty useless.

She loves it
Tipsy is 12 years old. I am trying to get her weight down and she runs around like crazy trying to catch this. I would recommend it if you need to get your cat active.

good for the price
The laser is a nice price, but I would say that it would be better if the button was a different shape as it can be uncomfortable to press down for a long time. Also, the button sometimes gets a bit jammed, that could do with improving!

So much fun!
This is so popular with my outdoor cat, she even knows the sound of the little key ring part when I pick it up. She cant wait to get running after it!

Good when works but switch arrangement fails.
The switch stopped working within 10 minutes of use. I opened the case (three screws) to see that laser device does not sit securely in the frame - I have been unable to make it do so, so for the moment it is headed for the recycling depot.

Awesome VFM
Just awesome. The cat loves it, the 3 year old child loves it. Who doesn't love it? It's seriously good value for money, it's a decent size, not flimsy (unlike others bought and broken within seconds) and the batteries last. Hurrah. LOVE LOVE LOVE

BETTER THAN STANDARD "STICK" LASER POINTERS
Having used 2 stick type pointers before, (& couldn't get replacement batteries for 1 of them), I thought I'd try this mouse pointer. The button is much better than other styles since it doesn't "press in" to your finger when continually using. This mouse's batteries are still going, months on, & I have used it a lot because my little cat goes crazy as soon as she hears the sound of the "keychain", let alone see the laser dot. It has also proved invaluable when she doesn't want to come in!

Do not use with a dog please
Our rescue dog has obviously been played with using one of these and she is shadow and light obsessive. Please do not use with a dog, it causes a version of ocd.

It's a paws up
It's definitely my favourite toy that I've bought him. I love sending him here there and everywhere trying to catch that little light.
