Fine-grained meerschaum sand for every day bathing. Quartz-free.
Please note: This product might take a little longer to arrive as it may be shipped from outside the UK.Meerschaum is a clay-like mineral which has no sharp edges. This makes it different to other sand that does contain quartz (e.g bird-sand, aquarium-sand). This quartz-free sand's porous structure cares for your chinchilla's fur, removing any dirt and fats. This thereby promotes shiny and naturally silky fur.

Great
I use this for my hamsters and they love it. They dig and roll around in it all the time and their coats are soft and shiny.

Excellent quality!
This is really good quality sand. My Duprasi loves to bathe in it! Keeps her fur lovely and clean and soft. Easy to use packaging too.

Excellent for hamsters !
This sand is lovely and my hamsters live it . The condition of their coats has improved so much since using this , very impressed. Would buy again.

Gerbils love it
My gerbils love their sand bath and will sit waiting for it when I change to sand, as they also use it as a toilet. The sand bath keeps their coats looking glossy without the dustiness of other sands I have used in the past and as they use it for a toilet it keeps their habitat cleaner.

Lovely texture, hamsters love it!
This sand has a lovely texture, its very soft and not dusty. My Hamsters love having sand baths in this :D It is a little more pricey then other sands which is the only down side. that being said I would still buy this again.

Great for Gerbils
I got my gerbils the little corner loo and this sand and they really love it. When it's clean sand they roll in it a lot to groom, and then they love sitting in the sand pit to eat their food. It does become their toilet too but I make sure to clean it out every day so that they have clean sand to groom in once more. Being desert animals I think the gerbils are really at home with some sand in their enclosure.

It does the job
I didn't notice a change in coat condition in my degus when using this instead of a cheaper brand. It was quite dusty and got kicked up into the air a lot, so it might not be great for asthmatics.
