Diarrhoea
Every time I give my 7 months old kittens just one teaspoon full once a day they get diarrhoea. When I only give them their dry food they have no diarrhoea. I am not feeding them half a can each. It's only one teaspoon each. They don't get diarrhoea when I give them a tiny bit of home cooked chicken breast fillet.

Cats didn’t like
Wanted to try something g different for my cats. Both my Ragdoll cats did not like this at all.

Not a complete food
This has no where near enough fat, fibre or much else to qualify as a complete kitten food, but I bought a 12 pack as an alternative to the Thai chicken used in Applaws. Big expensive mistake. My kitten, who is not usually at all fussy, wouldn’t touch it.
It also needs cutting up as the shredded strips and pieces of chicken are much too long, so a faff as well. Very disappointing for the price.

Tasty but not calorific
Picky kitten loves the taste and texture of this, helping us to wean him off the bottle.
BUT...
I emailed the firm to ask what the calorific values are
They replied:
Chicken kitten food - Calories per 100g: 54.
Tuna kitten food - Calories per 100g: 74.
Given each tin is 75g, it only has 41cals. Even if you gave (could afford) 2 or 3 a day, the kitten might struggle to eat that much and still miss out on its calorific needs.
So be cautious of the idea that this is a 'complete' food.

Cat loves it but it's very expensive
My cat will clean the bowl every single time he has this food but it's unfortunately one of the most expensive foods.

Siamese Kittens Approved
Kittens loved Thrive Kitten. In fairness they loved any cat food but I particularly like the fact that there are no nasties in Thrive. I really wish it was a little more affordable.
