My cats love it
My cats enjoy thrive wet food, plenty of meat content and clean bowls every time.

Good quality
My 3 cats have really been enjoying the tuna and the chicken. After reading previous reviews I was a little worried about the quality of the meat but it turns out to have been good quality meat with enough moisture.

Poor quality
My cats used to love this brand, however quality recently has been appalling. The meat is stringy and grey, and most of the can is broth rather than meat.

Not the quality cat food it once was
I've used this cat food for 7 years, always my go to. Now 1/2 full of water and the chicken is greyish colour, not the white meat it once was. Won't be buying anymore, such a shame.

Absolutely poor
The standards of Thrive has dropped drastically, Applaws portions are much more and better quality

Quality has gone down a bit and NO TUNA!
My cats have loved this for years having it as a meal treat every now and again. Sadly the last batch I ordered was not very nice. The cats thought so to. Instead of the lovely white breast meat it was dark and stringy. even chopping it up with scissors didnt make any difference. They were disgusted....as was I.
In the hope that it was just a bad batch I have ordered more. If its the same that will be the end of it. It seems their other favourite, Tuna has been discontinued. Im fed up with it!

Thrive poor quality
This is not a cheap product but they keep charging quality . You can open can and get stringy chicken etc awful and cat can’t eat it. Used this for years now have cat at vet refusing to eat and having stringy food and food quality changing not good shame on you thrive

Awful brand
I've noticed that tins without 'how to open' pictures printed on top are bad quality consistently. The stringy meat that others speak of always comes from a plain tin.
I contacted the brand directly about this, and the very condescending reply said it was natural variation and cats do not mind.
My cats do mind, and I don't see how the stringy meat always ends up in the same kind of tin if it's 'natural'. It seems a lot more like 'two factories, one pumping out an inferior product' to me.

Inconsistent quality
This was by far our cats favourite food, but the chicken tins in my latest order are very stringy and watery. We still have a few tins from previous orders which she will completely finish, but won't even touch the new tins. Complete waste of £20

Wrong picture
I saw the yellow Thrive chicken tin and thought I was ordering chicken which has turned out to be mackerel & sardine, and tuna 🙁I won’t return it as she will eat it, but the colour of the tin shown is confusing.

Once again quality not as good as it was.
Further to my last reviews and hoping I had just bought a dodgy batch I bought some Thrive Chicken wet food as my cats love it so much. However they are not so keen this time (again). The meat did not look as white as it has originally and the meat was once again stringy. I cut it up into fine little bits with scissors to encourage the cats to eat it but they were obviously not enjoying it as much as they have in the past. Please Zooplus would you take this matter up with the manufacturers/.

Quality of chicken has changed
Very watery and stringy now - was brilliant before. Such a shame as my cats loved it. Have opted for the encore chicken now instead

Good quality food but …
My cat loves Thrive wet food and the freeze dried treats. Unfortunately this variety is mostly liquid a little meat and some carrots and peas. Perhaps it’s the vegetable content that the liquid consists of but the meat content appears to be much less than the other varieties and unfortunately it does not fill up my cat like the other flavours. I will not be purchasing this variety again.

Disappointed
This food iis so inconsistent, one time it's lovely and my cat clears his plate, and next time it is dull and stringy and my cat just walks away in disgust, l have wasted so much money, l won't buy again.

Inconsistent Quality
Inconsistent quality, when its good its good but more and more often I have received poor quality tins of chicken breast. The chicken is extremely strongly which my cat is reluctant to eat, when he does it it, he vomits and has an upset stomach. Same with my sisters cat, vomits and has bloody stools.
Shame Thrive's quality is inconsistent, now we have to look to change cat food as this seems to be an increasing problem.

Excellent quality food
Having tried various premium cat food brands on my young Bengal Baba, thrive is absolutely her favourite. she'll always eat it straight away. Her favourite is the tuna, but we tend to mix it up to give her some variety. She has loads of energy and a lovely coat. I would highly recommend this food. Whilst not the cheapest, would say it's worth the money.

Was excellent, now mediocre
Thrive tins used to be excellent quality, to the extent that if you put, for example, chicken breast or tuna in front of a human they wouldn't think at all that it was cat food. Unfortunately though, as with all good things, the quality has been going down for a while. I'm still sticking with it for a little longer and giving it 4 stars, hoping this is temporary.

My cat really seems to hate this food - it's the only food he's ever refused to eat
I thought this food looked great, but my cat disagrees. He's not picky and I've never had any trouble getting him to eat his food in the past, but he refuses to eat this chicken. It takes hours of coaxing him to eat to get him to eat half of it. He's happily eating any of the other foods I offer to him, but not this. I'm not sure what's wrong with it, but I won't be buying it again unfortunately.

An addendum to my last review.
Opened two tins of Thrive Chicken Breast tonight. Superb quality white chicken Breast...not stringy. Went down well my lot. Also opened a Chicken Breast with Chicken Liver...not so good. Dark meat, dry and stringy.
Shame.

Quality has gone downhill ? recipe change
I have been buying this for my cats for years now but the quality of the meat has significantly gone downhill. The Chicken Breast flavours including the one with liver is no longer the typical white meat of a chicken breast but looks as though some red meat ? the cheaper leg of chicken has been mixed with it. It is also now very stringy so I have to chop it up with a pair of scissors to make it more palatable. Please bring back the original high quality recipe Thrive?.
