My two cats are outdoors in daylight hours then kept indoors but with access to a catio . I had two litter trays in the house which they would only use if desperate but the outdoor litter tray in the catio has been a big success, they both use that happily. I think in the belief they are actually outside the house which in a way they are . This has solved the problem of them being anxious to get back outside in the morning before it is daylight . It is totally water weather proof .

Wouldn't recommend this product came broken Wouldn't buy anything from here again

I have 3 cats & was hoping they'd use this instead of their indoor trays but they didn't take to it. However 1 of them was feral & likes to stay outside a lot. He has decided that this tray makes an excellent 2nd home, so we put towels etc in it and he uses it if the weather is bad & he still wants to be out of the house. He's a very big cat but can get in and out easily (as can my other 2) & I know he's properly sheltered as he always comes in warm & dry. A big success here

Found it hard at first to open and close once i practiced i was ok very sturdy kept the rain out easy to clean worth the money very big

I’d hoped that once our two kittens were allowed out they would do their business there (rural area so not so much in gardens) but no, they still came in for that! Bought this and filled it nice and deep with Catsan nature. The kits hopped in to explore immediately and the girl kitten now prefers it to indoors. Easy to click the lid on and off and the litter is super easy to scoop, with very little smell,they bury it well Only downside is that sometimes the snails are attracted to the litter

I was debating buying this for quite a while. Having done so, my two young cats took to it straight away. They do still occasionally use the indoor tray, but I may eventually take that option away - they seem to prefer the outside one, and it has stopped them pooing in the garden. (We have a very enclosed garden.) The (expected) con is that the neighbour's cat is also showing interest in it. However, I don't mind clearing out a bit of extra if it means less less dust and smell indoors.

Was a bit worried as have 2 older cats but the indoor litter tray was driving me bonkers. They took to it after a couple of days, put it initially without lid where the original tray was (bathroom) then brought downstairs near kitchen door for a day, then outside. They have taken to it really well, the lid does fit,you just have to click it in. It is waterproof, has stood some heavy rain with wood pellets inside. I really recommend this, especially if, like me, you’ve had enough of indoor trays!

Wish I had seen and bought this a long time ago. It's perfect for one of my cats who insists on using my large flowerpots and grass. Took a few days, but she's now decided that this doesn't make her paws mucky and is happily using it. Thank You

I’ve had mine for more years than I care to remember. It is absolutely marvellous. Even the kittens went in the run use it without a problem at all.

The lid is bigger than the tray so can only clip on one side, is this a design fault or a packing mistake? Useless

I have to say that I was very undecisive about this tray, but I had to try it. I didn't think my 5 would use it, as it might have been difficult to get in, especially for the large 17 year old. But they have all taken to it, absolutely brilliant!

After spending MONTHS browsing outdoor litter boxes or even making one up myself with storage boxes, I found this and am I glad did! Works exactly as it should, decent size, clip on lid and totally water/weather proof on the inside. I did keep it indoors for a bit without the lid and then with it on to get the cats used to it. Then moved it outside and no problems whatsoever with the transition! I count my lucky stars.

used indoors too begin with, then moved outside - reasons, one not too upset my neighbours. Kitten adjusted too outside really quick, she does not use next doors veggie patch, We don,t have it in the kitchen, a bonus, the biggest plus, 18 month old lurcher cant get too the poop inside. Would recommend.

My cats have been using this tray for 8 months now and it has been an amazing purchase and completely waterproof. Its large enough that my big male ragdoll can get inside without any issue. Easy to clean inside and the lid pops off easily but can be secured by pushing down at the sides which clips it in (which I feel previous negative reviews may have missed). Essential purchase if you prefer your cats to use their tray outdoors in a catio for instance.

This is amazing. Our cats have used this all the time. I bought it because we only had a court yard. But recently we moved and now have a garden. Our cat still uses it. It has clips on to stop the lid from blowing off but I put a plant pot on it just to make sure.

I purchased this when our boy cat rejected the indoor trays and began to poop on shelves in the catio. Initially I was disappointed as the bottom tray felt quite flimsy while the lid seemed more robust. I have since found that this is a first class product. It's completely weather proof and the lid secures well. We have positioned it on a table to prevent our small dogs from accessing it so it's at a height I can easily manage for scooping. Our cat likes to use this, so I would highly recommend.

Finally a weatherproof litter box for outdoors! Both my cats transitioned effortlessly from a regular Indoor covered litter box to using this. I placed it indoors in theIr usual spot for a couple of days to get them used to it before moving it outside. We’ve had it outdoors now for a few months, it’s totally weatherproof & inside stays dry. It has never budged, not even during the last storm! Reasonable price & roomier than other boxes we’ve had. I’d recommend for use inside or out!

Just about to buy my 2nd one of these litter trays. Put it in my catio after my boy previously was used to an indoor tray and he used it right away. He favours this one over the indoor tray now. The box is sturdy and completely waterproof. For ease of removal I just balance the lid on top of the base as its been fine so far but despite what other reviewers say the lid does clip on quite firmly if you push downwards on the four side clips which then push in under the rim of the base.

I bought this for our new kitten, its fantastic , she pops in and out with ease - best of all our 15 month old pup can not get in, completely lurcher proof! So long as the kitten doesn't grow into a large cat we will be moving it out side for her.
