Purizon dry cat food - Various flavours
I have been buying this food now for 2 years.
I have 6 cats, aging from 7months to 14 years. They are all different, some outdoors some indoors, active and lazy etc. However, they are all fussy eaters.
Purizon fry cat food is the only food they will all collectively eat. I have tried so many other brands, the most expensive ones and cheap ones.
They just love Purizon every time and it’s great for a balanced diet. They look better, healthier and their coats are shinier.

Smells a lot!
I've been feeding my cats purizon food for years and tried different flavours. Cats love it and are really healthy. All the purizon food smells when first opened but not too bad after a short time, except this one. Very strong smell and it hangs around. House stinks of fish! I've ordered another flavour before I need it just because I can't bear the smell in the house anymore and can't bring myself to open the second bag we have.

It took a while but our Burmese happily munch away now..
Sorry, our cats aren't impressed..
Our Burmese appreciate their previous cat food now :( I suppose the over-powering smell of herring is too much for them. Wish I would have bought three-flavours instead.

Purizon Adult Dry Cat Food
My three fussy Burmese love it. Easily digested with no throwing up like some grain based products. Pleased we switched and so are they :-)
Purizon fish and chicken
Both my cats love this food and so do I although not actually tasted it myself! I feed wet food and dry as cats need moisture in their food and they went off J W B . Would be good in a low fat variety as one cat in on the tubby side .

Very good product
I haven’t tasted it myself, but my cat loves it! She’s been eating it for at least 8 years and she’s 10 now (a Chartreux and Sacred Birman mix). She always eats the same kibble and she’s in great shape. Her coat is beautiful, and she’s never had any digestive or transit issues. In short, it’s a good product made for an animal that’s still a carnivore and doesn’t need vegetables…

Return of the old version
The kibbles are darker, moist, and a bit smaller. 10 cats are gobbling them up like mad. In one container, there are some from a pack bought a few days ago, and next to them, the unfortunate ones after the awful changes. I have to top up the first ones several times a day, the second ones stay untouched.
The most important thing is that their favourite Purizon is back.
Now I’m just waiting for the fish and lamb to return. Supposedly the same packaging, but the ingredients list on the Zooplus website is still dreadful.
The Purizon nightmare for cats and their owners is finally coming to an end 😄

The product seems to have changed since last time
The pieces are significantly smaller than last time I ordered, and the packaging isn’t resealable like it used to be, which is really impractical with such a big 6.5 kg bag. I checked the ingredients against the info here, and it matches, but unfortunately I don’t have the old packaging to see if they’ve changed anything...

Gotten worse
After feeding this for 10 years with satisfaction, I can no longer recommend it this year. The pellets have become noticeably smaller and about a third of it is just powder now.... Both cats are vomiting more often and frequently have bloating. We even ordered a second batch, hoping it was just a 'bad' production run, but it seems to be permanently poor quality now. Really unfortunate.

The quality is beyond any rating. After the recipe change, this is no longer healthy but actually harmful food for cats. Diarrhoea or soft, mushy stools—normal bowel movements are impossible. On top of that, my cat started losing fur in clumps. They should have kept the quality and just raised the price—there isn’t a normal cat owner who wouldn’t pay any price as long as their pet is healthy. Once again, greed has backfired.

My cats are vomiting
Unfortunately, these kibbles are snubbed and vomited up. I mix them with Royal Canin for sterilised cats, because otherwise they just won’t go down at all: two of my three girls have been vomiting for two months now. Even mixed, they’re still being brought back up... but I want to finish the bag, so I’m only putting in 10% Purizon to 90% Royal Canin. It’s a shame. I’ll go back to the Single Meat range—no more Purizon Grain Free for me, ever again.
