Product description

Joint-kind dog bed with a memory foam mattress, helping to support and relieve your dog to ensure relaxing, pain-free sleep, with a smooth cover featuring a peach-skin effect and high border.

This Orthopaedic Dog Bed is a comfortable dog bed that is kind on your dog's joints, containing memory foam for restful, pain-free sleep. Memory foam has been used for many years in human medicine, as it fits perfectly to the body's shape and relieves the joints and spine. Your dog's body heat allows it to sink into the memory foam, offering optimum comfort and support.
The Orthopaedic Dog Bed has a high border that helps with painless sleep. The border padding and mattress can both be removed from the bed with the help of zip closures. The high-quality cover with a smooth surface and the separate cuddly bedding layer made from extra-soft sheepskin plush are attached using Velcro, helping to prevent it from slipping whilst still allowing you to separate them for cleaning.

Orthopaedic Dog Bed - Grey at a glance:

Memory Foam
Memory foam is visco-elastic and fits perfectly to your dog's body, helping to relieve joints and spine.

Easy to clean
The cover can be removed using the zip fasteners, allowing for it to be easy hand-washed. The separate plush cover can be machine washed at 30°C.

Removable bedding layer
The extra-cuddly plush layer is fastened to the main cover using Velcro fasteners, so that it does not slip around but can be removed easily for cleaning.

Range of sizes
The dog bed is available in four different sizes, making it suitable for every dog breed.

  • Memory foam (Visco foam) for restful, pain-free sleep
  • Extra high border for a comfortable place to rest the head

  • Particularly stable: mattress with supportive base made from sustainable PUR foam

*The plush layer will be slightly covered by the border padding, meaning that the laying surface is marginally reduced.

Care instructions: The cover is attached with Velcro straps to allow it to be removed before washing to prevent the plush fabric from getting matted.

Please note: Due to logistical reasons, the mattress in this item will be shrink- and vacuum-packed. As the memory foam mattress will be tightly compressed, please allow up to 48 hours after unpacking for the mattress to fully unfold and reach its full height. A protective underlay should be placed beneath the bed when used on parquet or PVC floors to avoid possible discolouration.

Dog bed
It's a good bed good size and only disappointment about it. Is that it's all in bits you have to put it all together which is abit hard to do

Dog bed
It arrived really fast. The dog bed is really nice and plush but people need to know you do have to put it together. Wasn't that hard but I dropped one star because I though it would come ready to use. Fits my dog crate perfectly

Cover doesn’t last very long
Bed very comfortable but the cover is not durable and has barely lasted a year.

Sticky tabs
Bought 2 large beds for pointer-shepherd mixes, 30kgs, 7yrs old. Packaged well, easy to assemble and seems to be well made. Only exception is the velcro tabs to hold the sheepskin mat in place. They are just stuck on with glue and come loose VERY easily. Everything else is sewn, why not the tabs? I'm going to have to fix it myself - not something I was expecting to do for £50+ each.

Dog Bed Review
The dog bed was literally flat packed & build your own. There is a memory foam mattress which you have to put inside the dog bed, followed by padded surround that you then have to add & the fleecy back then has to be velcroed on. Not only is it inconvenient to put together, my labrador will easily remove the fleecy base from the velcroe. I've previously bought better dog beds for less money on both Amazon & Pets at Home. Would not order this again.

Best bed for giant breed
I’ve struggled finding a bed for our Leonberger pup (giant breed), but largest size of this bed is just big enough!!! Looks good and quality seems ok (I’ve had it almost a year now), covers are washable and I have washed them 3 times now and all good. The only downside is the removable white fleecy inlay, being white, it gets dirty quick so I don’t use it and put blanket over instead.

Incredibly disappointed
For over £30 I'm genuinely upset with the quality of this bed - namely the "orthopedic memory foam" base. The foam is super thin, think textured yoga mat. Not at all appropriate for the audience it's targeted to. Really misleading.

Not as Good
This isn't my first Orthopaedic Dog Bed from Zooplus, and because of the previous beds thought, I would treat my two dogs to a new bed. The bed the new one replaced was 4 years old and was so much better even after 4 years. The foam is so thin in the new bed,. it doesn't need to have much memory, and the support around the back is only 3/4 full. I certainly wouldn't recommend this bed anymore

My dogs love them!
I was looking for ages for a reasonably priced dog bed for my 2 greyhounds. Stumbled across this one and took a chance and ordered 2. They love them! The memory mat is very good quality and the stuffing in the egdes is nice and thick.

Drop in quality & comfort
I have been ordering this orthopaedic bed for several years and my very large arthritic dog loves the comfort it provided. Unfortunately the latest version is reduced in the thickness of mattress, side cushions and padding by around 20% it seems. Our pet is having to change position more frequently. The bed is OK where as before it was excellent. Not worth the full cost I feel.

Our mastiff x XL bully loves it ❤️
Good size though not sure how long it will last- she will be a big girl. Our Millie loves it a bull mastiff x XL American bully she needed a bed to grow into and this fits the bill. High sides and enough space for her to curl up or stretch out couldn’t ask for more.

Labrador LOVES it!
My boy went insane when i gave him this and zoomied round the bedroom. Hes a 5 month old lab and likes to spread out on my bed, but now he's sleeping in this every night and even sharing it with his cat brother. So glad i got it!

Cheap foam. Definitely not memory foam. Not as it used to be
Having bought these beds previously over the years this one is disappointing, I have two german pointers who share the bed and the foam has flattened where they sleep. NOT the same and definitely NOT MEMORY FOAM as previously used. Definitely would not recommend for large heavier dogs. VERY DISAPPOINTED CUSTOMER.

Might as well be made of paper
My dog had made holes in the fabric within one day. He doesn't chew, yes like all dogs he scratches around to make himself comfy but his claws had recently been clipped. the material is just not good enough.

Great Bed
I bought one of these beds 2 years ago for my Cocker Spaniel after he underwent Spinal surgery. First bed was too small so gave that away and ordered the next size up. Second bed is a bit big but I just put a big fluffy throw in it and my boy loves it. It gets vacuumed and washed regularly and after two years is still in great condition.

Chinese made
This is an okish product. I bought two. The velcro is only attached to the bed and the blanket using adhesive, so be prepared to stich these on yourself after they come loose, get folded onto themselves and require replacement. In addition who wants a dogs bed that can only be washed at 30 degrees. That is insufficient for washing a dog's bedding

AAA quality
I bought 3 of these bed for my girls and boys and a small one for our cat, they all love them . We have had them approx 6yrs they have been washed to many times to count, dragged round the garden stuffed in the top box on the car for our holidays and still look good and going strong , I can highly recommend these beds for both dog and cat.

Bad quality
Disappointed in foam quality (very thin for orthopedic bed)and also underneath the bed is getting wet all the time. So I have to place some rug under the bed. It's not worth the price!

Half the thickness it use to be!
We have had 2 of this exact same bed in the past which both our English bulldogs loved to snuggle in together. As they are now getting older we wanted to stick with it and ordered a 3rd as after years of use it needed replacing - this arrived vacuum packed looking thin so left it to unravel assuming it was just taking a while but no... still very thin half the thickness it use to be and very disappointed especially as the price seems to have remained the same.

Great bed but not as good as the brown version I bought before
The bed is really well made and my Ridgeback loves it but the mattress is not as thick as the brown version which I bought. I had to replace 1 of them as 1 of the Ridgeback had managed to move the velcroed cover and stick her claws through the lining exposing the foam base. While this bed is better and comfier than the hard plastic beds it's a shame they didn't have an XL brown version in stock
