Very poor quality
We received this dog crate, as soon as I picked the box up I started to worry about it. No weight at all. When we opened the box unpacked it and put it together, it was so flimsy I couldn’t believe it. The wire was not much thicker than a gerbil cage . This was meant be heavy duty for a large dog. Total unfit for purpose. Not sure where the reviews came from that we read. Certainly not this Dog Crate.

Excellent value for money
Having previously purchased paint coated kennels/crates from a well known store I was not happy with the quality the paint was chipping off the base metal, and I was worried that my 2 puppies could ingest the paint flakes if they were to chew the kennels/crates, and so returned them to the store. I found these on zooplus and purchased them, they were dispatched quickly and well packaged. They are well made and sturdy, good quality and good value for money and would recommend.

Poorly made
Not happy with this crate at all. The metal on it is so sharp.we have scratched ourselves a few times on it. Can't use it properly now as scared pup will get hurt on these bars and packaging etc was thrown away as didn't realise at first 😢

Dog crate
I’m very disappointed with this item as I cannot use it for my work with cat rescue. I found the kittens can escape at the bottom of the cage through the gaps

Could do with some improvement.
I wouldn’t describe this cage as flimsy or the metal used as thin however the product is not beginner friendly. Although well packaged it was difficult to put together as some sections were lodged and stuck, I needed to use a huge amount of force to dislodge the panels to be able to form the cage. The only disappointing issue with the cage is that the top of the side panels are weak with the fittings not lining up, apparently mine was quality control tested...

Awful Quality
Do not waste your time or money on this abomination! It is made from the cheapest, thinest metal possible and the plastic base is so thin its a joke. If my 6 month old puppy hadn't damaged it on the second night I would be returning it.
Zooplus, you should be ashamed to sell such an atrocious product!

trixie carry cage
an excellent product, easy to erect and dismantle. much
better than some I have bought from other suppliers in the past.

Disappointing (XL size)
This item is the first ever product I have ordered from zooplus and I am returning (and I buy loads!). The build quality is poor, the door has to be lifted up to align the catches to close it. I have the Trixie plastic crates for in the car and am really pleased with them, sadly this is nowhere near the same quality. Perhaps its just the XL crate that is so flimsy and poorly built.

Excellent
This arrived yesterday. The service was excellent and the I was very happy with the quality of the product and at that price, how can you lose! I'm moving house and wanted somewhere safe to put my cats during the actual move and this will be perfect. Overall, i'm very very pleased with my purchase.

Good quality but always keep an eye on your dog.
Got this kennel to housetrain my cocker spaniel pup. I only keep her in the kennel for 20 minutes at a time and I always keep an eye on her. (I don't keep her in it over night.)
Good quality product and easy to assemble.
After a while my pup started to chew the bars on the kennel. At one point she caught her mouth in one of the latches on the kennel and she couldn't get her mouth out - very painful for her. Luckily I was beside her when it happened. So I would be careful about keeping a dog/pup in the kennel for too long or without supervision.
Overall, good product at a good price.

Why not use a pad ?
I bought a crate for my pupppy and bought a padded fleece bed with raised sides at the same time. These fleeces are raised up at the sides and you can use nappy pins to hold all four corners in place to stop it slipping. I think they are made by 'Savic' My crate is a size medium. I SO wish that firms that sell crates and carry crates would also offer the corresponding sized good quality fleeces to go with them. Shame on you Zooplus.

great cage, pity about the tray
Cage is great, exactly as specified. Metal tray is well made with no sharp edges but it is very slippy, especially on car journeys and is warm on hot days and will be cold in the winter. I do use a towel/blanket but it slides about as well. My previous (smaller) crate bought from a high st shop had a plastic tray which was more comfortable for my dog. The only zooplus crate I could see that had a plastic tray was the sloping design, which was not suitable for my car. Overall a good product though and I will probably be buying another one shortly, for the house.
