Despite being called “Chuckit” it has proved quite hard to do just that. As another reviewer has mentioned, one’s throwing technique has to be changed but it still doesn’t come up to scratch compared to the longer handled ones. It’s pretty sturdy though. I wouldn’t recommend it.

Ball split within half an hour. I can only assume faulty. Also it isn't easy to use this launcher - it's a totally different technique to the longer version and much harder to master.

The launcher is great for me but the ball that comes with it is a fuzzy type tennis ball which our pup was ripping apart in minutes. Luckily I had also ordered the medium sized chuck it balls which are a harder rubber. Our pup ...a nine month collie whippet cross....absolutely loves these. They are bouncy enough to keep her excited as she chases after them. Product could be really improved if manufacturer supplied these with the launcher instead of the "fuzzy".

Bella goes mad for this toy. Unfortunately the ball that comes with it disintegrated within a few weeks and this is just from being thrown and retrieved in the park, with no chewing. The hair comes off and makes Bella cough. So I am buying the rubber option in the this actually lasts well

I was excited about this delivery as my 11 month old labradoodle has chewed through everything except the Chuck It Ball - that takes abut a month! So when I order these, thought they would be the answer - but the ball that was in the chuck it thrower was pierced within 5 mins. Very disappointed and can't recommend - unless the company can explain! Disappointed that Zooplus sell this poor product. It is definitely not the ball I am used to.

This toy is brilliant. We have an 11 month old Border Collie/Terrier cross. He has so much energy. He loves chasing after balls, and other throw toys, but the problem was always getting him to give it back. The launcher seems to be the trick! Using that to pick up the ball, rather than my hand seems to have broken a pattern of play. He will go on for ages, and the extra distance the launcher provides helps too. I am going to order the larger launcher too.

My retriever, Jess is totally addicted to the ball launcher! She gets so much exercise, even in a garden chasing and often catching the ball mid flight. Because it's smaller than other launchers it means that I can carry it easily in my bag.Love it.

Great for dogs that love to chase and fetch. Chuckit also do a variety of balls that all fit. Something for every dog!

This is the dogs choice of favourite toy for walks. He loves chasing the ball and catching mid air. He chooses to play fetch over chasing other dogs.Easy to use and can throw further without the need to touch the ball and get slobbery hands. It's great for distraction when you need them to sit still to let passers by go past.

This is fantastic and will give your dog hours of fun it can be used with tennis balls and gives your dog a great exercise work out without walking miles

The ball thrower I bought is perfect for my dog. She now runs miles in a short distance and quickly. It also gives my arms more exercise. All round good for all dogs and people

This smaller version of the Chuckit is easy to carry about and still gives a reasonable throw.
