Outdated and harmful
When dropped these spook dogs, it's an easy way to cause reactivity and fear in your pet. They're very effective at what they're made for.
There are far better and safer options out there, backed up by scientific evidence to help train your dog in a way that benefits you both, rather than scaring them if they make a mistake.

Do not buy this aversive tool
Please don't try to train your dog by frightening it. There are much kinder - and more effective - ways. Zooplus - please do better and remove this aversive tool.

Miracle
I have an 8 month collie who, after owning many dogs all my life, I was about to rehome. Her main problem was aggression towards other dogs. She started chewing an armchair and I threw them on the ground next to her. She hated the noise. Bingo I got a reaction. Within two weeks I have fallen in love with her, she is almost perfect. We are both relaxed even around other dogs. A little rattle and she stops immediately and listens to me. Literally amazing. Soon I won’t even need them.

easy to use
I have never been able to use clicker training because of hand weakness. These training discs are similar but have the opposite function. If the discs are rattled the dog does NOT get the treat. It makes a distinctive noise and gets the dog's attention even when it is excited by a running cat :-)

Training Discs
These are effective IF used correctly As a behaviourist with many years experience they must be thrown on the ground once only, while giving a low verbal 'NO ' . Timimg is crucial Use them when it is thinking about doing something e.g barking ,jumping ect Never throw them when dog is already adrenalised It will make them worse.

Didn't work for a hyper dog
Tried this with a small hyper dog, no response whatsoever.

Outdated method of training
These can make the behaviour worse, like other outdated quick fix training equipment, if it does happen to stop the behaviour, it is only suppressing it for the short term. The dog's emotional state of mind is compromised as they are unable to express how they are feeling. Using kind and force free methods is a much better option.

Behavioural Training
As the owner of Olantigh Dog Training we use these discs all the time on some dogs that have behavioural issues. If introduced correctly with my methods they work brilliantly

Sharp Edges and Useless
Might as well just throw a bunch of keys on the ground. Not sure I'd like to chance trusting my hand into my pocket onto the sharp edges discs.

Expected better
I am sorry but I bought these and tried them out when walking my dog and had no response whatsoever. A small jar with stones in would have worked better. Very poor quality too.

Works wonders!
I tried everything on the market from pet corrector sprays, stones in a tin, whistle, treats, lead control etc., to try to calm our very excitable dog down, stop him pulling on a lead and stop him jumping up at visitors. These training discs really do work and so simple to use. I can highly recommend these and especially for the price. There're brilliant.
