We believe that our teams should enjoy a positive work environment and a culture that promotes employee wellbeing, where they feel encouraged and supported. Fostering sustainable, long-lasting relationships with our employees and customers is a fundamental part of our ethos.
Our D&I programme promotes a diverse, inclusive workplace, where different genders, ethnicities, nationalities, cultures, age, disabilities, sexual orientations and identities are present. All our employees are invited to contribute and participate in the various topics.
Our workforce is made up of over 60 nationalities, with teams based in offices throughout Europe. We know that the key to success is great cooperation between people with different ideas and abilities and we have introduced "Culture Days" to specifically strengthen our understanding for each other.
Women currently represent 49% of our workforce, in other words, there is more or less an equal balance between female and male employees at zooplus. We want to maintain an equal balance so we have launched recruitment campaigns explicitly targeted at women and we have an internal women's network.
We proactively promote lifelong learning. Our employees receive optimal support from day one and can take advantage of internal and external training or coaching throughout their career at zooplus.
The health and wellbeing of our team is very important. To ensure our team always feel able to give their best, we actively encourage them to stay fit and healthy. We offer preventive medical care and we also organise online fitness courses and provide a health promotion app, amongst other things.
Here at zooplus we had flexible working even before the Corona pandemic hit. We fully support hybrid working with a mix of working on-site and at home, guaranteeing a high level of efficiency, as well as convenience and comfort for all.
We have far more in common, that just our work. We notice this time and again, in all our social interactions, especially at our memorable company and team events - whether it's a Christmas party on the roof terrace or a virtual cooking together event.
Data protection: Protecting personal data and guaranteeing high IT security standards are top priorities. We have dedicated departments to ensure precisely this high level of protection and compliance with all the relevant legal requirements. Moreover, our employees throughout the company are continuously trained on data protection and privacy principles.
Business Ethics: At zooplus, we have a clear stance on acting responsibly and lawfully. Our employees and business partners are committed to the respective zooplus Codes of Conduct. Our compliance management system ensures that relevant guidelines are implemented in the individual departments and that appropriate controls and training measures are in place. Should a violation of applicable laws or our compliance standards occur, employees can report this via the zooplus internal whistle-blower system or an independent external ombudsman service.
