This cold-pressed dry dog food is rich in vital nutrients and the finest quality venison and duck. It contains plenty of omega-3 and -6 fatty acids. It is gluten-free with no chemical additives.

Markus Mühle Red Deer Venison is made using only the very best ingredients. Innovation and know-how have been used to create this balanced and natural dry dog food, using over 50 years of experience producing cold-pressed food. The recipe is based on a combination of first-class animal protein, the best gluten-free carbohydrates and carefully selected plant-based components. Using cold-pressing to as a production method ensures the raw ingredients and well cared for and, by avoiding using steam and high temperatures, retains the nutrients and proteins. The raw ingredients are then mixed and formed into pellets. Secondary plant substances are included to promote a strong immune system and a healthy digestion.

Dried barbary duck meat and delicate, highly-digestible Red Deer venison are the main sources of protein and provide irresistible flavour as well as high-quality protein and energy. White fish and linseeds give this food a particularly high omega-3 and -6 unsaturated fatty acid content and promote healthy skin and coat. Red fruits and Yucca schidigera offers benefits for the immune system, bladder and digestive system. Natural green mineral soil is also included, as a silicon-rich mineral known for its health benefits. Green-lipped mussel extract (Perna canaliculus) is a natural source of glucosamine, which is important for joint mobility and promotes the preservation and elasticity of cartilage. Good quality. Fussy dog loves it
My dog is a bit fussy & not motivated by food so has often eat other food reluctantly. He often has loose poos but has been very firm with this. Excellent quality for the price.

Excellent quality food
Our younger dogs moved onto this food after graduating from the junior Markus Muhle kibble and absolutely love it. After spending a bit of time looking into food with extra joint care for our giant breed dogs this and the Aberdeen Angus range rated really well. Our elderly cocker also enjoyed this food before moving onto the senior kibble in his later years which helped ease his arthritis. The kibble is quite large although ours all manage, large and small, all without any digestive issues.

good quality food
I bought this food for my pomeranians and some chunks are too big for them but they manage, would be nice if kibble was same size some pieces are inch big. no complaint on quality as it is nicely digested. dogs like it and smell is as if there are some herbs in it, that helps with breath too :)

Quality cold pressed
Having fed them equivalent high quality cold pressed food in the past, my two Black Labradors have been eating this food (along with the Black Angus) for over a year. Mealtimes are enthusiastic, their fur is thick and shiny, they are in great health and their poo is excellent and easy to pick up. I'm quite fussy when choosing food/ingredients for them and have experimented with many other top rated options, but feel cold pressed is the most nutritious and satisfying option for them.

my dog likes it
The dog likes it. He had stomach problems with mainstream products and I only gave him high protein no corn food since. I switched to this product when lukullus started to add corn to some of their range. This product is not 100% of his diet, it is used as treats/supplement to homecooked food. I like the low temp extruded pellets because they are not smelly and greasy and can even be carried in a pocket as a treat. It also seems like a more natural process to produce food.

More like horse pellets
The food is more like horse food as in fairly large pellets and my dogs all had very sloppy poos. Won’t be buying this again

Consistently high quality
I've had my Rottweiler on this since he was 1 (previously black Angus Jr) his coat is always getting comments. In my opinion there is no better dry food on the market, worth the extra money, as you give a lot less than the cheap kibble. 10/10

Switch my Rottie between all 3 MMs
He reacts best to this it seems, although he loves black Angus too.

Too rich for my Cocker Spaniels
I usually buy Markus Muhle Black Angus for my dogs, which they love and do very well on, but as we were going on holiday I thought I would try the Red Deer version as it comes in a smaller sized bag and would be easier to transport. Unfortunately it appears that it is too rich for my 18 month old Cocker Spaniels as they both had upset tummies which went back to normal when I stopped giving it to them, even though I was only giving them a small amount to start with mixed with their usual food.
