Very poor quality build. Cheap and thin wood and the sissal is held on with staples making it far too easy for cats to pull it from wood with potential for staples to be picked up by cats paws or worse. No way would I ever recommend this product as safe or worthy of any cat, not even a kitten.

Rubbed it once and that was it... Neither of the cats uses it.

Unfortunately, this scratching board broke during its very first use!!!! :-(

After just one scrape, the fabric fell apart. Such a shame about the money.

Far too narrow for large house cats

The scratching board came as a free bonus with the dry food; otherwise, I would have sent it back. The wood is so poorly cut that you get splinters just from touching it, and some edges are dangerously sharp and need heavy sanding with sandpaper – assuming the disgusting patchouli stench ever goes away, which is why it's currently "airing out" in the basement...

I’m very disappointed with this scratching board – absolutely poor quality. The base is made of two roughly cut pieces of plywood that were already almost falling apart as I unpacked it. The sisal is just stapled on, and unfortunately, I also found two larger drops of glue on the sisal, which I was luckily able to remove. The only positive point is that it looks cute, and my cat is using it – well, let’s see how long it lasts.

Hello, I got the scratching boards at the promotional price, and I have to say the price-performance ratio is not right. The scratching board is made of two very thin plywood panels that are stapled together. The wood was simply punched out, which means the edges have splinters and broken-off pieces. Even if this item cost €1, it would still be too expensive. If Zooplus cares about cats and doesn’t want to upset its customers, they should remove this product from their range.

This scratching board looks quite nice in terms of design. Unfortunately, our cat pays no attention to it. I can't recommend it.

The scratching area is far too small, so the wallpaper to the right and left of the board is completely ruined! Nice to look at... otherwise rather useless.

I am really very disappointed with this scratching board. My cat doesn’t accept it at all; unfortunately, she pays absolutely no attention to it, and it just lies there unused. It’s also very unstable and poorly made... a complete waste of money on every level. I wish I had spent the money on something else instead...

I bought this scratching board without very high expectations, but I certainly didn’t expect a small piece of sisal to be stapled onto a really POORLY cut piece of plywood! What a shame! Even as a special offer, in my opinion, the price-performance ratio is absolutely not right!!!

I'm not impressed. I ordered the board during the birthday week at a bargain price of 5 euros. After 2 minutes, I already had an ear (from the wooden cat) in my hand... curious as my cats are, they tried nibbling on the other ear, which then revealed that the board's base is very thin and produces nasty splinters that I definitely don't want ending up in my cats' mouths.... The sisal attachment is quite good and, unlike the board, better made, but ultimately it's of no use... the splintering was too dangerous for me, so I unfortunately ended up throwing the thing in the bin after just a few days... It's a shame because the board is really different, nice to look at, and a great alternative for small spaces, if, yes if the base were a bit better!

I had already bought one scratch cat some time ago from Zooplus, and my cats and I were thrilled with the quality. Now I wanted to buy two more. The scratch cats I received were no longer made of the lovely light wood but instead of some kind of pressed chipboard, and the top and bottom were coated with a type of foil. Every corner was broken off a bit. I didn’t even bother unpacking them, just got an RMA number straight away and returned them. Now I’ve bought the scratch cats in the old quality from Garten Dehner. Such a shame!!!

Hello, my two tomcats absolutely did not accept the scratching board. Since they are outside all day, they are used to other "scratching posts." Perhaps suitable for indoor cats. Besides, I can't say that the scratching board looks nice. OK, for the price, you probably can't expect much more.
