Shrimp our Whippet is more of a Whoppet and carries extra weight easily - she is a ‘good doer’! Vet says she should weigh around 13 kg so I feed her the amount recommended for that weight. She has lost a little weight after two weeks on it, so let’s hope she continues to return to her sylph like self! The only downside of this food is that she produces a lot more poo! Probably due to the high fibre content.

Barking heads is simply amazing. Amazing food content that is both healthy and natural. Why pay for crap when you can pay for the best at the same or often a cheaper cost to the high street rubbish that is sold. I would never change from anything else for my dog or any future dog. We also used the cat food dry version too when our feline friend suffered from a random allergy. Heavy research into foods and ingredients and a quick switch to meowing heads and it soon cleared up. You always read that things are good, until you purchase them yourself and find they are not, however in the case of "Fat dog slim" it really does work, Little Arch has gone from 14.8 to 11.8 in a few weeks, he is eating fat dog slim with a little of the barking heads meat, and some of the fat dog slim treats, I am so pleased and the vet was amazed and very pleased with us today.. I was so shocked when little Archie ate this food as it was, normally he would only eat a biscuit kibble type of food if you mixed it with gravy based dog food, I got a scooped measure put it in his bowl and he scoffed the lot so fast, now he actually pushes his dish in the morning for breakfast, he's got a weigh in on Friday so i will see how he is doing on his weight.

This is the only high end dry food that works for my dogs weight loss, we tried a lot of other brands light/diet version but he still gained weight. I didnt want to downgrade him to the type of food with the "meat and animal derivatives" so this food was perfect. Lots of meat content, the food has little holes in the middle to make the kibble bigger so the portion seems larger.

our labrador girl had problem with maize and on top of it she was becoming a little too chunky. she solved the allergy issue completely, loves this food and now has a perfect shape. I couldn't be more satisfied.

One of our spaniels is less active (and more greedy!) than the other and tends to put on weight if treats are not kept under close surveillance! Using this food for her allows us to keep her weight under control without depriving her of chews and treats for training/good behaviour, and she wolfs it down so must be tasty!

My dog needs to lose lots of weight. He has lost a kilo in 4 months of being on fat dog slim. You need to weigh the food as on the guide. We give our dog slightly less dog food but add a little meat in the eveninwg as he likes that . We have cut down on snacks and he is not allowed donuts, bacon sandwiches and other things he liked to eat when going to work on a building site with my husband! My dog still has some way to go but is getting there. He runs morevand we do more walks. I have lost weight also.

I moved to this dog food when I took my pooch to the vet and got told off about her weight. Been using it for 2 weeks and already she has lost a little weight and she seems to love it. Just wish i could find a diet food that I loved!
