So much fat/lard!
There’s increasingly more fat/lard in this food, all through the meat but most especially at the 1/3 bottom of the can. It’s been causing both my dogs to have diarrhoea, which has been distressing for all. What’s going on with quality control?!

Disappointed
Ordered the Beef and Reindeer because our usual Beef was out of stock. An awful lot of jelly and not much meat. Ordering their usual beef which is usually more meat and no jelly, fingers crossed, and Happy Dogs again.

Beef with Green Tripe. Almost a soup.
I have now ordered this product on two occasions and on both occasions I have been disappointed to find that a substantial proportion of the contents is "jelly" made of one of the thickener gums such as Carrageenan. In all the other Rocco recipes the 800g cans are packed tight with meat and nothing else but with this one you can hear the contents slopping about in a pool of jelly which liquifies over time. I checked two of the cans and in both, nearly 200g out of an 800 g tin is this slop.

Was great but now not so good
I have been buying Rocco food for my dogs for about 4 years and have always been very happy with the quality and value, but over the past few months I have noticed that the tins are no longer filled to the top. they are approximately 3/4 full and this is across the flavours. I assume the manufacturer is trying to save having to put their prices up by cutting down on the amount they are filling their tins with. Not impressed I am afraid and will be switching to another brand.

quality of food is not the same as it used to be.TOO FATTY
i have been feeding my now 10 year old gsd this along with wolf of wilderness dry for several years and always found it to be lean and meaty with most of the lard at the very bottom of the tin where it could be easily removed( much like corned beef) sadly now the lard is all through the meat which makes it too fatty. i will not be buying again.

What's happened?
Have fed my dogs on Rocco for the past few years but lately the quality has deteriorated. Lots of gristle in the tin, even found a bone! Worryingly, my dogs are now also getting frequent tummy upsets. Sadly, won't be ordering Rocco any more.

Not what it used to be!
I’ve used Rocco for a few years and the tins were always packed with meat but this latest batch has so much soft jelly around the meat that there is far less meat than there used to be.
If this is a cost saving measure then it’s a big mistake as I won’t buy it now. One tin lasted two meals. Now I’m lucky to get 1.5 with all the sloppy jelly.
Such a shame as it used to be brilliant!
