The Miniature Spitz (also Pomeranian), is small - but he doesn't seem to know it. He usually radiates great self-confidence, often even towards much larger dogs. At the same time he is alert, but not aggressive, but friendly to people and animals. He struggles with various sensitivities, such as tartar and plaque buildup, as well as bone and joint problems. Their dense coat can cause skin irritation due to restricted air circulation. Since they have a shorter intestinal transit time, this brings the risk of hard stools and can result in constipation. Therefore, a diet specifically adapted to the breed is beneficial.
